Absolutely lovely-so nostalgic. The bird adds so much.

A lovely timeless quality to this scene - it could be today, yesterday or fifty years ago!

Wow, a classic bayou scene! I love the Spanish moss draped over the arcing branch, and of course the egret provides a terrific focal point.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments! A special "thank you" to the moderators that nominated this image for Editor's Pick. I got lucky when that beautiful egret decided to stop by for a hello!

Kind regards,
Darlene

Very Nice. I would eliminate the hi contrast spot north of bird (thick branch against road), it is an unneeded distraction.
Thanks for sharing.

I placed my thumb over the spot and found the image then becomes a bit boring. I see the bright spot as a sun similar to where it was at time of shooting. Thank you for your thoughts.

Kind regards,
Darlene

A truly incredible scene. The moss just creates a great frame within a frame. All the elements work together nicely.

This is simply gorgeous! It's the way the image perfectly frames the bird that makes this special.
