A storm approaches this towering sea stack along the Northern Avalon of Newfoundland.

This image was captured in two exposures hand blended in Photoshop. One exposure for the foreground water at about 1 second and one for the sky at about 1/10s

I really like the foreground water, you can just feel the wave pulling back to the ocean. The bright spot to the left of the stack is still too bright for me, I'd try to tone it down somehow. I assume the foreground was 10s and the sky was 1s, not the other way around.

Thanks for the reply Wade. Actually I meant to say 1s for the foreground and 1/10 for the sky.

Wow -- this is gorgeous!  The bright spot might come down a little but not really objectionable to me as is.  Lovely job of blending.

Agree on the bright area...but put this against a dark b/g for viewing and all is good!

Very dark and imposing and that makes this shot special. Really well done.
