Inspired by EJ's series of images taken around the Interlaken lake area this is "2 lakes down the road": Lake Lucerne (or Vierwaldstaetter See) with a distant view of Beckenried, shot from Weggis. Sometimes the evening light has an intensive yellowish cast during this time of the year. Later in spring with green foliage emerging the evening light is getting colder.

3 images stitched, 100mm @ f/8, ISO 100, 1Dx

Hi Gary,

not sure I understand the reason for moving this to the landscape forum. There are at least 3 villages in the frame (Beckenried, Emmetten and Vitznau) and half a mile of national highway A2. That for me was the reason for posting it to Travel & Culture.

Best regards,
Sven

I've uploaded the image at max size, clicking on it might reveal at least a bit more detail.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. I'm missing the forums, will try to post more regularly.

Best regards,
Sven
