Yellowstone sunset

When the sun initially went behind the clouds I was rather disappointed that we would miss the best light. I stayed hopeful that the sun would peak out. It did! The light lasted less than a minute and I was able to capture this scene.
D800e, iso 100, 58mm, f/16, 1/125 sec.
In photography; we are only restricted by our own imagination.

I really like the portion closest to the sun. The contrast is really nice there with the play of bright light and deep shadow. I do feel that the left side of the frame is not as interesting as it just goes kind of dark and is lost a bit. If there had been more mist off to the left that was backlit it would have helped. Either way, I enjoyed looking at the image.

Definitely needs to be viewed against a dark background. Note you can post up to 1200 wide ;)
