Neko Harbor, Antarctica from Zodiac.  Canon 5D III, EF 24-105 @ 32, f/16, 1/1250. ISO 640.

As per suggestion, I cropped foreground to eliminate broken ice chunks which were in my original post.

Hi Bob,

This is quite beautiful.. I like the processing, especially of the whites. Composition wise I would have preferred a bit of separation between the ice floe and the bottom edge of frame. Alternatively (and less preferred by me) would be a crop just above these pieces of ice...

Don,

I agree with your first choice, and that was my intent, but the helmsman ran over my anchor leaving me with this.  It's always something.

The scene is a very peaceful image yet we know there is a dynamic nature to this setting. The smoothness of the background nicely contrasts the fragmentation of the foreground ice.It would appear that you will return home with many found memories, as well as images.

Hi Bob.. the edited image now allows my eye to 'flow' better into the scene, for me anyway... Hard to get good help sometime.. :)

Very nice Bob! I like the subtle blues in the glacier and the contrasting dark foreground.
