Rain and snow melt have the water level at Great Falls up 20-30 feet.
Foggy wet morning but no fog on the water.

I like the lingering fog along the treeline in the upper left. That's my favorite part of the image. I find it really hard to compose images from this viewpoint as the water really overtakes the image. It looks fine here, but it's still a bit much. The black and white treatment is nice, and I like the bit of texture in the clouds.

This one isn't doing it for me simply because the tonality of the sky and water are about the same making it primarily light gray. Some very different processing could likely turn this into something I like a lot.

I agree with EJ's thoughts on this one...perhaps the color version to compare?

Thanks all. Chris I think the view is less compelling when it is flooded like this, fewer rocks and rapids. But, I was hoping for more fog.
E.J. I will play with it but I'm not sure I have the ability/knowledge to make a huge difference. Good challenge though.
John, the color shot is really drab, brown water and lifeless trees...
