Hi David

I like the repetition here. I might have composed slightly differently to exclude the part trunk LHS but include the bottom of the birch in the immediate FG if it were possible.

Thanks guys: I appreciate the thoughts, esp. about the lhs. I deliberately chose to cut off the bottom of the foreground tree to try to convey a sense of the forest advancing out of the frame and imposing itself on the viewer.

Love the textures here, and the choice of black and white. I do find the fallen tree to be a detractor in this image. It also bugs me that the right side of the frame ends with no tree on the edge, whereas the left side has a trunk split down the middle. Maybe playing around with a crop could help that out. Looks like a fun place to photograph.
