John L.: I am into this look at the moment. It may pass. Or I need to get my eyes checked... :)

EJ: absolutely correct, that lens is amazing. Thanks for pointing it out to me in my "Lens for Northern Lights" thread a few weeks ago. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the first images on the monitor - the detail, the (micro) contrast... The only other time I so far had a similar reaction to a new lens was when I rented the Canon 500 F4L for the first time. Talk about wow. Now, if I just could justify the price of such lens...
