I took this a couple of years ago.  That's the Shafer Canyon and the Colorado River down there ... a very interesting and nervous drive down.

Wonderful rendition of one of the greatest views in the west.

BTW, Schafer Canyon is just outside the frame, to the right. We're seeing the Colorado River making a 180 around the Gooseneck (not to be confused with the Gooseneck on the San Juan River near Mexican Hat), and a good chunk of Canyonlands NP.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
