Same drama, different composition.

A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

Since I am in cropping mode I might reduce the amount of blue sky. My old brain finds the blue to be a bit competitive with the pleasing foreground. Is there a small island in the clouds or a mountain top?

This one is pretty neat... I prefer it over your previous post from this area.
I really like that "floating island"!
Is that a sundog in the upper right?

Quite surreal!

This must be fascinating to witness, effects here give an almost primeval feel - is there a dinosaur about to loom out of that murk?   8)

I like the position of Fannette Island better in this one. I'd vote for less sky too.
Very nice scene.

Nice conditions, Jens. I'd definitely opt for a closer view though as I think the sky is just kind of detracting from the scene as a whole.

Great capture Jens. Love the island reflecting through the fog, and the foreground with all the layers. Agree that a crop off the top would help the comp a bit.
