Great Falls of the Potomac National Park, Virginia
Fujifilm X-E1 200mm f/16 1.5 sec Great Falls isn't far from Washington, D.C. Going there at sunrise or just before sunset means smaller crowds (at sunrise you might have a couple of other people in the park). There are three overlooks on the Virginia side. I like the second one. There are seemingly endless shot possibilities and usually I wind up isolating parts of the overall scene. This is also a place where most shots are horizontal -- including mine -- but there are times to "break the rules" and this composition just begged me to do that as it was one I hadn't tried in the past.
