My visit to monument valley was a bit disappointing. High winds, blowing dust and the scenic drive all made viewing and some image capture a challenge. This is about as good as it gets for my visit, hope to try again-maybe an E.J. tour. :)

I wouldn't be disappointed at all with that image. It has nice clouds, which is a rare treat in that area, and the exposure is perfect.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

If you got some good dusty shots, they would be more unique than most from that area :D
Nice sweeping clouds and looks very clear.

Looks good to me though a tiny adjustment in saturation and perhaps a touch of shadow contrast would bring out a bit more character. As Jens pointed out the sky is terrific.

:) You gotta get off the tour loop, and the only way you do that is with a guide. A classic shot, probably would be better with the sun a bit lower.

I like the formations here, James, and the clouds are positioned quite nicely within the frame to create a pleasing composition. I guess I'd like to see either some more interesting / less flat looking light, or some additional foreground interest to get the overall interest level up for my tastes.
