After days and days of rain last June, the forecast was calling for a break in the weather. Kristi and I had been visiting her mom in Portland and we had prepared a return trip home down the Oregon Coast. Camped a few miles away, we hopped on our bicycles anxious to capture the sunset at Cannon Beach. I love photography on the fringes of light, and can't hardly believe when I find myself alone after all the other spectators go home. See it larger here: Is it Over?

The silhouettes work here, and you're right, the best light can be ages after sunset when many folks have packed up and left! In fact I've made a career out of it!

Wonderful Light and great composition. I like how you lined up the three dominant rocks.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

I thought I recognized that place! Beautiful work here bringing a new look at an often photographed location. I really like this.
