A crop from anotherwise unsuccessful full frame comp, taken August last year.  This one really zooms in on the detail, down to the barnacles, in the rocks.

Nikon D800E/Carl Zeiss T* 2.8/21 ZF.2
Hitech 4-stop IRND and Lee 105cpl
ISO 320 0.8" f/7.1
Original image was a focus-blend of 4 frames.

See here for a slightly larger full-rez image.

Cheers!
Dave

I love this. Excellent detail throughout. Out of curiosity, why use an ND filter here? Without it you could have used ISO 100 and still gotten a faster shutter speed.

Thanks EJ. ND Filter was used in the broader context of the original frame to slow down the seawater: essentially irrelevant in this presentation.
