Ventured out yesterday to the Four Peaks Wilderness area in south central Arizona in anticipation of an approaching winter storm in the high desert. As the first wave of clouds began their descent the jet stream began to create unique shapes, lasting for a moment and then moving on. I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time for framing this lone tree juxtaposed to this particular form in the sky.
I love to wander the desert Southwest in search of inspiration.

You said it well about the framing. I also like all the wisps of clouds seaming to be coming up from the ground.

Yes, it certainly looks like a spirit world. I think the b/w makes it!

Great B&W image. The dark sky with the wispy clouds makes this for me.

Very nice, Rick. Great vision to see the cloud and know what you were after. I noticed it right away, too. It's perfectly placed and really creates an interesting image. The light is perfect to highlight the shapes of the tree, and I like how black you've let the sky go to further emphasize the clouds. Nice one.

Ultra cool cloud formation.
I also think your choice of B&W greatly enhances the mood here.
