After a 2 year absence, I managed a trip to Yosemite the day after Thanksgiving. In all of the years going to Yosemite, I don't have any photos of Half Dome from the Valley. I spent the afternoon photographing this location.

I must have processed (and re-processed) this about 6 times and I think I've got it done now. I would appreciate any recommendations.

It works for me Mike! Beautiful perspective, sweet light and great reflection.

Nice Mike. Glad to see you back. Love the reflection and the fall color. I might brighten the shadows, and the sky a bit.

Very nice classic shot. This area was closed for revegetation the last time I was there. It is a favorite tripod spot of mine at Yosemite.

My first reaction was, I would have waited another hour for the sunlight to come around. But the subject is Half Dome and it gets a good deal of light, enough to make it - and its reflection on the water - stand out in the image.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
