"Autobiography"
An image of a huge eddy that I found in a small stream in West Virginia's Monongahela National Forest this October.
Techs: Canon 7D, Canon 10-22mm @ 10mm. 13 seconds, f/16, ISO 100. Polarizer.

Love the difference in scale between the eddy in the foreground and the rocks in the background.

I've never been a huge fan of swirl shots, but I really like this. The way the motion on the right brings your eye into the scene is great! The richness of the water colour is also really appealing. Is this a result of the substrate or is there a lot of tannin in the water? Keep up the good work.

This is a great swirl. I love how the contrast in the size of the foreground and the background. The swirl really leads the eye to the waterfall.

Thanks for the thoughtful critique, Jess! Yeah, tons of tannin here. Not much of a fan of this either, but eh, what the heck.
