I hiked out to my favorite aspen grove this fall to photograph the sunrise and leaf change. Rather than shooting level with the trees I wanted to be above them in order to add some depth to the image. My solution was to hike out with a ladder. While cumbersome, really allowed me to get a unique angle of the aspens.

Fabulous image Jake.  The composition, color, light and mood are super.

Best Regards,

Beautiful Jake. Well planned and executed. The soft pink glow is awesome.

Beautiful scene, well captured.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

There's a couple of places in the Tetons where a ladder would come in handy. Great idea :)

Great creative mind to use the ladder. Love the colors in this scene. Super colorful, yet still natural. The only thing processing wise that seems a bit funky is that it seems like the sky above the range is a bit darker ... is that a grad line perhaps? Or a halo around the mountains from a blend? Either way, I think some work could be done in that area. The composition is nice and provides a peaceful feeling.
