Interesting lighting.
Could you elaborate on what processing has been applied here?

I would be happy to John. This was taken very early at sun rise just as the sun was breaking. I shot in Raw and did the original settings there. I usually decrease highlites and inrease shadow. Then I convert to photoshop and make a duplicate layer. I call this crop and level. Then I went to levels and increased the levels slightly. Then I opened Raw Filter and went back to RAW for one touch up. I used the brush to lighten the foreground slightly. Then I went to NIK filters to remove noise. Went to photoshop to sharpen and saved.

An interesting and moody shot. There are shadow/highlight halos around the trees.
