"Idealist's Viewpoint"
This one is from Blackrock Summit in the southern portion of Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. As a 1,000 mile long mass of tropical moisture moved north, the westward sky remained completely clear. I have a few more images to come from this event as the sky really lit up!
Techs: Canon 7D, Canon 10-22 @ 10mm. .4 second, f/14, ISO 100. Blend of two images ... sky and foreground. Tripod. Polarizer.

Love the foreground light on the rocks
Also like how the shapes in the sky mimic the mountain and trees shapes
Well done!

Love this, Chris! The layers and triangles are constructed beautifully here. I have fond memories from shooting at this viewpoint. Definitely not in this sweet of conditions - you must have been psyched!

Oh my...this is sweet!
I love the jagged rocks and how they contrast with the smooth clouds above.
Great light too!

A great spot to shoot from, and you nailed a beautiful time to photograph it.

Beautiful scene and nicely composed. I like how the hills and the clouds converge at mirrored angles. Looking forward to more.
