I think you framed the mountain fairly well. I think the lower portion of the frame detracts from the rest of the image, especially the area below the tree trunk. Moving forward a foot or so would reduce that area and also provide a bit more separation of the background scene from the foreground.

Nice but agree with EJ....perhaps a crop from the bottom to half way into the log.
