I spent a few days on the MN side of Lake Superior's north shore, although the weather was not very co-operative I still managed to get a few keepers. The sun just came through the small opening of the clouds to allow me to capture something on this morning outing!

I really like this a lot. Compositionally it might be even better if the island were a little to the right of where it is but I love the shot regardless.

Love the colors and the detail.
Would also like to see an off centered comp.

thanks for the comments E.J. and John, This was the best composition to the left was more rocks on the shoreline with no light and the light on the right was almost black from the heavy cloud cover. this was a very small opening for the sunrise and it lasted only about 7-8 minutes. My choice on this composition; I like how the light on the lower left took the viewers eye past "Hollow Rock" into the sunrise.

Love the colors. Centred composition does not bother me at all on this image.
Good job!
