"The Oracle"
I photographed this scene earlier this year in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. It was originally just a nice foggy scene with fresh spring greens. I wanted to take a departure from my normal processing style and have some fun with this one. So, I converted it to black and white, gave it the slightest bit of Orton and some considerable vignetting for good measure. It came out pretty dark in mood, which I think reflects what it was like for me at the time I captured this. All alone, in a quiet, dark, rainy forest.
Canon 7D, Canon 10-22mm @ 16mm. 1/15th @ f/13. ISO 800.

Very nice one, I like the very grey color of it, very moody. Slightly reminds me of Opeths Blackwater Park album cover http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/e ... erpark.jpg

Love the shapes of the tree trunks emerging from the fog.
