From a beautiful sunrise a few weeks ago.  A real treat to see the sunrays in the meadow.   The tall plants that are prominent are joe pye.

Canon 5D Mark II Camera
Canon 24mm TSE Lens
Shot at iso 200, F11
Manual blend of 3 exposures to balance the sky, meadow and shadows.

Really like the rays and the rim light on the Joe Pye Weed.

Hi Jerry! Wow, what a subtle yet striking image ... and of a simple meadow, no less. This great photograph really exemplifies the power and importance of light in photography. Composition is spot on with the field dominating the foreground. I really like the way the majestic tree in the background is directly below the sun. It makes the sun rays feel even more significant. I like that you kept the processing quite natural with natural looking saturation and deep rich shadows. Very well done!

Thank you all for your kind words. This is a bit different view and wasn't sure it would be enjoyed. Thanks.

Everything is right in this image. Excellent!
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
