Glacier Point in Yosemite NP, yesterday morning. The smoke from a nearby fire turned out to be a blessing.

Two exposures blended.

EOS 5D2, 21/2.8 ZE @ f/2.8
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

Very cool. I think it would be even better if you took this into photoshop, duplicated the background layer and then used screen as the blend mode and adjusted the opacity.

Neat....I really like this.
It would be nice to see a repost using EJ's suggestion.

Hey Jens! Well, this one definitely needs to be viewed on black and in a dark room. Once in that setting, the image changes quite a bit. I might like to see a tad more stars, but I like that it isn't an over-the-top milky way super photo that is so common nowadays. Compositionally, Id like to see the trees at the bottom of the frame not sticking up right in the middle. If they were off to the side to oppose the stature of Half Dome in the distance, I think it might work a bit better. I love the glow on the horizon!

Cool shot. 2 weeks ago I hiked to the top of Half Dome and I am glad these fires were not around then. I like the understatedness (if that is even a word) of this.
