A late evening shot just before sunset.  The canyon was full of smoke from fires in the area.  The smell of smoke was in the air.  It created a nice atmosphere for the beams that I captured.

Gorgeous! Besides the great light and smoky scene, I like the ridge in lower right leading you into the scene and the sliver of river visible. Great job taking advantage of the conditions!

Stunning view. The smoke adds a lot. I like the different colors and light on the rocks. Good placement of the horizon.

Beautiful Kieth. As others have commented the smoke really adds to this one. This would be an awesome desktop BG.

What a beautiful image! Nice one, Keith. The light, rather obviously, really makes the image here. Those shadows coming from the peaks and all heading towards the sun in the sky provide a depth that really takes this image to the next level. I feel that many photographs of the Grand Canyon do not translate well the feeling of being there, as they just fade to haze and lack depth without showing the grandeur of the place. This image does not fail in that regard ... it makes me feel like I am there.

This is so good and so different because of the smoke. Excellent.

Superb atmosphere captured here. Love the composition, the lines are all good and the proportions are great. A very fussy nit pick would be the sharpness of the distant land, this is a fine balance, but I don't think they need to be so sharp.
