I really like this image, especially the "catchlights" on the bowling balls!

I've been long wanting to go to this place as it's the closest thing we have in NA to NZ's Moeraki Boulders. Thanks for posting apicture of it :)

I also like the catch lights...like they are covered in oil.

Hi Joerg. I assume you used a neutral density filter on this one? It is mid-day, right? If so, well done, good choice. My favorite part of the image is definitely the rocks. Love the way they shine and the catchlight just rocks. In comparison to the rest of the image, the foreground definitely takes the cake. I'd be interested in seeing a shot or crop of just the rocks.

The catchlights on the rocks are a real asset here.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

Thank you all for the kind feedback!

Chris, yes this was taken at mid-afternoon with a ND filter(s) (don't remember which) and a circular polarizer.

This is a really cool shot. Long exposures of waves breaking over rocks on a beach can become a bit of a cliche. But the uniformity of shape of the rocks in this image makes it stand out. I also like how the outer line of rocks leads the eye toward the cliffs in the distance. Nicely done.
