2nd shot from my visit to the river "Ammer" near Saulgrub, about 1 hour southwest of Munich.

EOS 1DX, EF 4/16-35L IS @18mm, polarizer, 3-stop ND,
20s, f11, ISO 50.
The green vegetation was quite dark but thanks to Lightroom and RAW I could recover it easily.

The 4/16-35L IS is so good it is almost unbelievable.

Hope you like it. also played with BW but I like the color version better.

Markus

Nice job in recovering detail from the dark greens.

This image has a nice subtlety to it that I really enjoy. Instead of getting in close to the rapids and using them as a foreground, I like that you have included the beautiful stones on the "beach" here. They provide a lot of cool texture and are interesting to look at. A very relaxing scene. I dig the colors of the water, as well as the relatively low saturation across the board. I also like how you are looking downstream ... further reinforcing the tranquil feeling.

I really want that 16-35!

Great shot, Markus.
