Floating mountain

This summit is called The Crepin's hand. It is located in the southern part of the French Alps. The weather was not one of the best and the pick just popped out of the clouds.

Ohhh, I like this very much. The thumbnail wasn't as promising, but viewing it larger with the subtle directional light now obvious, really makes the image for me. The light on those clouds provide such nice interest and texture. The composition is great with the mountain placed on one of the rule of thirds points. I'd like to see this one even bigger, at the maximum sized allowed here on NSN.

Wonderful Image! As if the precious subject is protected by fluffy cotton in a jewelry box.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
