Central Greenland
RX100 When flying from Iceland to Seattle in the winter, you depart Reykjavik an hour so after sunset and fly over central Greenland. Since the angular velocity of the earth is so slow that far north, the airplane is dramatically faster than the Earth's rotation resulting in catching up with the sun and seeing a sunrise in the west... You would need a Concorde or other supersonic aircraft to achieve the same thing at the central latitudes of all of our states except Alaska. E.J. Peiker http://www.EJPhoto.com
