The Bavarian Alps have many waterfalls and I am visiting more and more of them.

This is is called "Großer Wasserfall" which translates to big (or large) waterfall. It is close to Walchensee, about 1 hour south of Munich.

Much of the waterfall is hidden behind trees so I concentrated on the upper part and used a longer lens.

I did a B&W conversion here with LR as I am currently trying to learn more about B&W with LR.
Any comments welcome.

I really like the comp and I think the B&W works well. I like the way the telephoto compresses the scene here.

Looks a bit 3D and great detail in this b/w conversion!!!  I also like the whole of the scene!

As stated, a very nice composition. I am wondering if using various color channels you could seperate the tonality of the rocks from that of the trees a bit more. I'm thinking an orange or red channel boost while dropping the green channel.

Neat falls and a beautiful scene.
I do agree that the trees seem to blend into the rocks here.

Thanks John, E.J. for the comments on the trees. I will try it out. Still learning how to use LR 5 in the best way for B&W landscape shots.
