Lower Cataract Steps

The original plan was to shoot the supermoon that was to rise directly above and inline with the lower falls. But, an afternoon storm, lingering clouds, and an evening fog had other plans.

These are the step falls just upstream of the lower Cataract Falls in Indiana (about 45 min west of Indianapolis). 

Canon 6D, Canon 70-200 f/4 L IS - 111mm, f/10, 1.6s, ISO 50

I'm looking for more opportunities to shoot landscapes with telephoto lenses. I still don't have my head quite wrapped around it, yet. So, critiques welcome.

What a cool waterfall complex and a great monochrome photo of it.

Sweet...love the chosen shutter speed for the water.
Best viewed against a dark b/g.
