The sky lit up in shades of orange behind Longs Peak and the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains at sunset near Berthoud, Colorado

Nikon D800, Nikon 14-24mm lens at 24mm
Manfrotto tripod and ball head
1/50 sec;   f/22;   ISO 640

Very nice, not sure that f/22 was necessary at 24mm and by going to say f/11 or even f/16 you could have gone to a significantly lower ISO and ended up with a cleaner image with more detail.  At f/22 the D800 has no more resolving power than a 12 megapixel camera due to recording lens diffraction.  But I can't argue with the result at this size :)

Wonder why more of the sky shows on the dark background version....ie when I click on the image?
