After spending a short night alone taking pictures in the Jökulsárlon area, Iceland, sun beams began to show up as the moon was on her way to bed. This is one of these last privileged moments.

I have yet to have a nice clear day there in the wintertime. Cool shot.

Hello Julian,

Beautiful image. I like the hues of blue and excellent control of depth of field. Very well done.
The Moon is overexposed and blown out with no detail. If you have a shorter exposure with detail on the Moon, you could blend it in and make in an HDR. With the present title, it seems like the Moon should show some detail.

Thanks Roger for your comment, pretty interesting remark indeed.

I don't think I have another low exposure shot for the moon. I am not really into HDR or what I call over-processing. For me a photograph does not need to be technically perfect nor need a fine and detailed processing. I like to make it the best possible in the camera and keep it short on the computer work. I think that the important thing in an image is it's "soul", and IMO having details or not on the moon will not add anything on this shot.

That's just my way of seeing photography :)
