Yesterday, myself, Jess Findlay, and Bertie Gregory took a short trip out to Golden Ears Provincial Park in Maple Ridge, BC. We were fortunate to stop on the side of the road to check out a vine maple I had found earlier in the year. We were eager to keep exploring the hill side and found a great area full of very photogenic rainforest scenes. I hope to get back there soon to keep exploring!

For a 15 second exposure, this is very sharp! Must have been amazingly still. In general, I am not a fan of green, but I like this one.
It has a lot of textures and patterns, along with evenness of light.

The comp is very powerful and I love the lush colors! I really like the variety of textures too; the face they're all green makes this compelling...

Conner this is very sensuous and luscious image! I look forward to seeing more from that area, which sounds like a place you sort of "discovered" that isn't usually thought of as a photo hotspot. That's special...and cool! I've been a big fan of your style of shooting since the first post you ever made here, mostly because you seem to have a natural sense for composition. Just took a look at your website--WOW!!!. You definitely have it going--and only a buck past twenty---your going to have some profound effects on the world of photography my friend.. Keep up the great work!!

**I hope you can find some time to add captions to your images on the site. I know it's hard enough to find time as it is but boy it's frustrating not having any clue where, and when, or how etc.. an image was made..Would be nice is all I'm trying to say.

I noticed also your using Zenfolio. Have you coupled a designed site and linked it up with the zenfolio or is it all pure zenfolio. I'm just getting started with this stuff and find it not too clear to understand yet.

Thanks a lot for the kind words, Paul! it means a lot. As far as discovering Golden Ears, i learned about the rainforest area from looking at the website of Adam Gibbs. My friend Jess and I have been heading over there a lot this year because we want to try and hold a workshop there next spring. We're just trying to cover as much ground as possible so we dont miss any hot spots.
I've been meaning to add captions and remove/add images, I just need to find some time. For my design I just created my own page theme and for my title I made it in photoshop.
