Moon Over the Mountain

Thanks to a miscalculation by the Photographer's Ephemeris, trees, haze and a large crowd I actually missed photographing the Blood Moon rising above the horizon, so I combined photos taken before and after this event for this image that only existed in my mind.

Too bad you missed it, but this is a great substitute! Pretty convincing-I wouldn't have guessed it wasn't the real thing. Great color.
