Chipmunk in the Bird Bath

This little fellow just sat in the bird bath with his (her) tail in the water.  I used a Topaz Labs vingnette and "impressions" to make this  more painterly .

Canon  IDIV, 400 5.6 lens + 1.4xTC, 1/500, ISO 1250 f/8

Sweet!  Lovely pose with the trailing curled tail and just enough head turn to engage with that bright eye.  The lighting enhances the scene beautifully and your 'painting' is just right.  8)

I love how the coat texture has spilled onto everything else. Wish we had these rather than grey squirrels.

Thanks, Clive. We have Greys too, and red squirrels.  They greys have, thankfully been scarce this summer, though they eat up much bird seed in the winter. We are overrun with Chippies-they are cute.
