Mountain Goat Chase

A pair of mountain goats in Jasper National Park in September a couple of years ago. Painted over my photo onto a gray layer with a crosshatch brush in Corel Painter. I made the brush smaller where I wanted more detail.

Really nice effect, Jerry-cross-hatch is perfect for this one. It's always fun to see your artistic explorations-I like the way this one is sort of abstract in the surroundings. I'm a little puzzled about the goat on the left-is there another goat behind it...or am I just not seeing it's position?

He is just showing off the hair on the nape of his neck to let her know that, "He's the Man!"

Same Billy Goat, different shot to show his nape fur. I did not exaggerate it in the painting.

Oh, wow-I've not seen that....of course I've never seen a real mountain goat either.
