Great Horned Owl hunting in the day to get her two large owlets ready for flight. The young had already left the nest but were not great fliers yet. The parent has half a baby Robin for the second owlet having fed the first youngster.
D4s, 500mm with 1.4 TC, f8, Iso1600, ss 1/1250. Shot against a grey sky, this was easy to high light. B&W conversion in NIK. (Best viewed on the dark screen.) Stan
