Shot skimmers this morning and the light isn't always what you want. Sort of a white sky making a glare on the water. Thought initially this would be a great Black and White but I love the striking bill color. Not much manipulation just made the blacks a little darker and did saturate the beak ever so slightly and brought out tail feathers a tidge more and cleaned some of the water.

Enjoy!

Love the symmetry of the bird and reflection here- almost an abstract. I agree- the orange beak really sparks up the picture. Nice high key effect.

Beautiful image of this bird's defining behavior in a very strong graphic composition.  Love it!  I would hang this on my wall (in my house, not Facebook!).  It really pops with a black frame.  Thanks for sharing it with us.

Wowzer. It has high contrast to grab attention, the double take to hold it, a little Yin/Yang going on in the reflection. An inspiring cover shot. Just wonderful.

The hi-key nature of this image and the pose really works, I love it.
