Pulled the flower from a bouquet to shoot with my iPhone for a reference. Painted in ArtRage. A new program for me. Pretty powerful for $50 US. I used the tracing feature to sketch the petals, and then filled in the colors selected from the reference.

It looks like you're dreaming of summer too Jerry! This makes a nice big bold statement and I like it, although I did find myself looking down for the stem as you have left more room below....  Maybe its just me.  :)

Nice brushwork Jerry -- a very cheery image!

Nice painting as usual-focus goes right to the center. Think I agree with Carol- longing for a stem...and maybe a bit of green. :).

Here is one I did before the top one, but in Corel Painter. The flower has a stem in this one :P
The delft pitcher is actually a 2 inch tall miniature that I changed the scale of so the digital daisy would not tip it over.

Yes, its got a stem.......and a jug.... I don't miss much, do I!   :P   Clever scale alteration on the miniature.

I would still prefer the large flower, with a stem.     but art is a very personal thing.
