From last month in Badlands National Park at sunset in the shade. They were so busy knocking heads, I was able to get a good angle of view. Painted my photo with Corel Painter

That wary eye does it for me. Nice texture- looks like snow from my (Vermont) point of view.

I do not know what the mineral is called, but it is more of a gray clay right there.

The digital brush I used lays it on like a palette knife, and I then set the surface texture to raise the brush strokes in Painter.

Love the frozen action here Jerry with these two head-bangers! A touch too wooly for my personal tastes but I love the image especially when clicked on to bring in the darker surround.
