ruby-throated humming bird

This is one of the first hummingbird photos I took in the US.  I caught this bird coming in to a feeder, and cropped out the feeder, leaving a fairly interesting shot of the bird on a mottled green background.  Then I wanted to see what various filters in Elements would do to it.  I ended up using the sepia filter to get the old fashioned color, the emboss filter to create the 3D look, and finally the old paper filter to get the texture.

Cool effect. I really like the wings, because they look like fossil impressions.

Very interesting and unusual-I love experimentation of this sort. Nice results! Makes you think, even if you didn't know what the process was, just what this abstraction is saying.
