From a Feb 2014 trip to Florida.  Cloned a couple of sticks out of the way than converted with the old Oil Paint filter in Photoshop. The new Topaz Impression has several filters similar to the Photoshop Oil Filter and also has several more other filters.

Love the contrast and the lighting on the bird. The oil painting and background is a hair too busy for me.

This is perfectly stunning! Only upon a closer look that I saw it was a digitally enhanced photo. It has quite a 3-D quality to it! I think this is exceptional.

I like all the textures and shapes in spite of the complexity. The strong whites of the bird save it from being too complex. Nice work! I might, however, dull down the light spot on the lower right. IMHO it catches my away and detracts from the white bird.

Very nice -- I like the contrast and sense of depth.

The only thing I would change is that twig/frond that intersects with the bill, I would get rid of that as it catches my eye each time I look at this scene. I love the image and your treatment of it Jerry, really beautiful and as previously mentioned it has a 3D quality that really brings it to life!

I agree on cloning out the white spot and the twig on the bill. But don't mess with it too much; it's a fine, fine bit of processing.

This is incredible, with a gorgeous, haunting darkness -- it could be a Robert Bateman! I rarely see an image using this filter that I like, but this is a huge exception, undoubtedly due to an outstanding starting image. Well done and very deserving of the Editor's Pick!
