Complimentary Blur!

It was windy and it was nearly impossible to get a steady shot of the flower keeping the entire flower in focus. So, I decided to blur it instead. Also, the green leafy background makes a good compliment to the red flower. I kept the camera on the tripod and let the shutter go... The wind did the rest. Shot at: f/11, 1/2 sec, ISO 200, cloudy WB

Beautiful color contrast -- I like the motion blur. Creative approach in dealing with conditions.

Really like the curve of the flower and the amount of blur on it. Perhaps another angle for a cleaner background?

Thanks Jerry. Good point about the background. The yellow stick kind of sticks right in the middle and perhaps it is distracting.

Really nice effect-great color scheme. I wonder if a square crop would solve the stem problem? Lovely work.
