I captured this whitetail earlier this month. I think it has been fattening up on Gary Briney's "Pumpkin Patch." :D
The original was yellow and green tones, but I have many deer paintings using that palette. So I adjusted the photo's colors using Photoshop and Topaz Restyle. Then I painted it using Corel Painter.

Wow he's pretty thick through the middle alright -- those pumpkins really stick to the ribs! A beautiful fall scene Jerry -- what do you think this buck might weigh?

I printed about 100 of my paintings recently on photo paper and I was pleased with their quality. I think they look better printed than on the monitor.
I've only done 1 on canvas, and it look almost "real."

I think close to 200 pounds.
