That's a wonderful still life- great colors and composition. Looks delicious too! I like the strong contrasts with the background and table.

No. I sorta like the elements except the clump of I don't know what at the base of the vase, and including the modern looking cutting board in a image that seems to be suggesting old world rustic flavor (the textures, old looking knife and vase). I find the composition box like and off balance. When I think of watermelon, the ideas of summer, hot weather, kids, smiles, sweetness and thirst come to mind...none of these ideas is supported which produces for me a disconnect between the elements of the image.
But of course, what I think can matter little, and sometimes should.
