A pinhole image taken at Lamy, NM at the Lamy train station south of Santa Fe.
Nikon D700, pinhole in body cap, 1/5 sec. exposure.

Impressive --- the color looks great, and the text is surprisingly sharp for a pinhole image.

Thanks for the comments, Gary and Cynthia! The engine was parked on a side rail. It's part of a tourist train that used to take passengers from Santa Fe to Lamy, but is only used occasionally now. With a pinhole, the long exposure makes it hard to stop motion. Here's another shot from that afternoon of a moving train as it was coming into the station. I really can't believe that the motion was stopped fairly well at 1/8 sec., but it's mostly because of the angle of approach and speed.

A shot from seconds before showed the diesel smoke, but the comp. was not to my liking. I'm going to post this in P&DA in a minute.
