I like the effect you have here, Vasanthi- nice texture and contrast. Not so sure about the strong straight blossom-it looks a bit odd to me though I am not sure why. Colors are certainly attractive-perhaps the flowers just have a bit too much space?

I think this is the same tiny bloom you had in the bottom corner of your poppies image? I like the combination of the strong flower with the subtle suggestion of the others in the background - like its pushed itself to be the centre of attention. This works well for my tastes Vasanthi!

 I took this picture last year when I was started photography.  For some reason I had it in my file, I loved the composition.  I liked the one flower in focus and the other OOF, with the seed pods.  May be too much space as you mentioned.  I agree.

Very striking red color there with some great textures. A little crop from the top also looks good to me.

I am not a great fan of cropping, but I think this image needs some.
