Two images blended.
Exposed for moon at f/5.6 1/50
Night sky f/5.6  1/4

So - not sure that blended images are considered digital art but safer than sorry here.
No tripod sadly... leaned on a vehicle.
Was not expecting this at all!!!
The black patch on moon is a bit of dark cloud that was going by.
Weird night. :)
It looks a bit soft due to resize and I did reduce noise on the outer edges of black.

Excellent handheld moon and sky --- good job on combining the two!

I don't generally frequent this category, but the thumbnail really drew me in so I had to click. Personally, I love this. It is so moody. One of the best "landscapes" I have seen in a while. It almost looks like you are looking down a long tunnel to find the moon at the other end. The texture is awesome. Also, I don't think it needed to be in this gallery, and despite the post processing would have been fine in landscapes.

Very nicely framed with the clouds.

Inspired! Great combination of elements to make a striking image. The dark in the clouds are so ominous, and design-wise, works well!

Thanks Everyone !   It was an amazing sight. I don't know why or how the red coloring is in some of the clouds...

I've just learned that it is possible that the red color is a refraction of the moonlight by ice crystals in the clouds. I asked because I had not touched the color! Interesting....
